Health Care Information

Registered Nurse:

Burr Oak Camp will have a registered nurse on staff. The office is located on the John Burroughs campus in close proximity to the Burr Oak Camp office. The nurse will be available during camp hours (9:00 - 3:00).

Any necessary medications will be administered from the nurse's office. All medications need to be placed in the original prescription bottle marked with the child's name, name of the medication, and dosage instructions. It would be helpful if you could provide a picture of your child included with their medication. It is easiest to provide these medications during their lunch periods so please make arrangements, if possible, for medications to be given at that time.

Peanut and Tree Nut Aware:

Burr Oak Camp is peanut and tree nut aware. Please DO NOT send any extra food items that may contain peanuts and/or tree nuts. Remember, a hot lunch is included in the cost of camp so additional food is not necessary.

Extra Support:

Safety is our top priority and we want the campers to have the best camp experience possible. Please let us know, prior to the start of camp, of any health concerns, allergies, or physical restrictions that might affect your child's camp experience. We understand that camp may be a new experience for some, so we strive to provide campers with any support and comfort they might need.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding your child's health please do not hesitate to contact the camp office at 314.993.4045 x 249 or email us at
